Ferro Chromium is a major alloying component in stainless and high-chromium steels, improving corrosion resistance and high-temperature strength.
High Carbon Ferro Chrome (HC FeCr) – APPLICATIONS
• Stainless steel production (primary raw material).
• Wear-resistant alloy steels.
• Tool steel, cast steel, foundry steel.
• Hardfacing applications.
• Used in FeCr-based cored wire production.
Low Carbon Ferro Chrome (LC FeCr) – APPLICATIONS
• Low-carbon stainless steels (304L, 316L etc.).
• High-chrome alloy steels.
• Precision steels, valve steels, turbine steels.
• Used in final stainless-steel refining due to low C.
• Avoids carbon pick-up in secondary metallurgy.
Chemical Specification
• Cr: ~ 60–70% (yüksek Cr tip)
• C: ~ 6–8% (high-carbon) veya ≤ 0.1% (low-carbon)
• Si: ~ 1–3%
• P: ≤ 0.03%
• S: ≤ 0.03%
